County chip seals portion of Panoramic View Drive

After over a decade of dealing with dust coming off of Panoramic View Drive, homeowners living near the roadway can expect to receive some long-term relief.
County employees finished applying three layers of chip seal to a section of the drive earlier this month, according to Kathi Hooper, county health department director.
“I drove up there today. It looks great,” Hooper said to county health board members during a June 8 meeting.
The chip seal project extended .7 miles from the base of the drive to the entrance of the Panoramic View Estates subdivision. Most of the dust plaguing nearby residents came from this stretch of the road, Hooper said.
County officials are waiting to hear from property owners in the subdivision on how they plan to treat the stretch of the roadway inside of Panoramic View Estates.
