LEGION BASEBALL: Northern Lakes drops two in Sandpoint

SANDPOINT — Avery Bocksch singled with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning as North Idaho Lakers defeated the Northern Lakes Mountaineers 7-6 in the first game of a doubleheader at Pine Street Field on Wednesday.
Sandpoint beat Northern Lakes in the nightcap 11-5.
Jacob Hessing had three RBIs in the opener for Northern Lakes, which scored four runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game at 6-6.
Tristan Clift had two RBIs in the second game for Northern Lakes (3-3), which competes in the Border Battle Tournament starting on Friday at Lakeland High.
The Lakers are 5-5.
