A Lakers rally past Kootenai Valley Rangers

Ostyn Brennan’s RBI single capped a 4-run, sixth-inning rally for the Kalispell A Lakers, who beat the Kootenai Valley Rangers 10-6 in Legion baseball Sunday at Griffin Field.

Brennan’s base hit scored Odin Erickson to make it 6-5; the Lakers combined three walks and a single with two Ranger wild pitches and a Jackson Nelson sac fly to score three more times in the seventh and lead 9-5.

Erickson also got the win with four innings one 1-hit relief. He walked five but gave up just one run, and fanned one for the Lakers (12-16). Their next action is at the Clingner Classic in Helena beginning Thursday.

Oscar Kallis hiad a four-hit day for Kalispell and scored two runs. Fletcher Postlewait drove in two runs and scored three times for the Lakers. Aaron Crutsinger drove in a pair of runs as well.

Corbin Hurst doubled and drove in three runs for the Rangers (7-8).
