Kinder Road, off Stratford Road, and Longview Street in Moses Lake will be busy with reconstruction this summer.
The city will start opening bids in July for the approximately $2.3 million project. Once a contractor is chosen, workers will redo 3,500 linear feet of road to make way for a new 8-inch water main, water service connections, fire hydrants, sewer services, storm draining, curbs and sidewalks.
The project will also include upgrading the adjoining streets in the Longview Tracts neighborhood with sidewalks and new water meter services.
As of Monday, Kinder Road, Longview Street and many of the surrounding streets did not have sidewalks.
