On Sunday, June 27, 2021, Lorraine Lou Warner Armstrong passed away at the age of 88.
Lorraine was born on June 16, 1933, in Long Beach, Calif., to Ralph and Mildred Warner. She graduated in 1951, from University High School in West Los Angeles. After high school she attended the Los Angeles Merchandising Institute for two years.
Lorraine married John C. Musante two weeks after meeting him, on a blind date. She raised four children with him: Mike, Cathy, Lori and Johnny.
She went on to marry two wonderful men. Fred Harris and Doug Armstrong.
At the age of 5, Lorraine started playing the violin. When she was 12, she started studying classical violin. At 13, she joined her first symphony. Lorraine played in five symphony orchestras, including the Coeur d’Alene symphony for 17 years. In 2007, she learned how to play the fiddle, and fell in love with it. A new passion was born.
Lorraine was loved by many. She never knew a stranger, never spoke ill of anyone. Her smile lit up any room she was in.
She was an extraordinary woman that led a full, amazing, and selfless life. She made you feel heard and special. To know her was to love her. She will be missed.
She is survived by her brother, Earl Warner, three children, eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Annie. They were the joy of her life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2021, at McEuen Park Pavilion in Coeur d’Alene.
