Royal beats Eastmont 50-10
Royal picked up a win over Eastmont on the road in their opener, winning 50-10. The Knights led 28-3 at the half, adding another 22 in the second half. Cooper Christensen finished with nine catches for 210 yards and three touchdowns. Senior quarterback Caleb Christensen completed 22 of 35 passes for 311 yards with 4 passing TDs and one rushing score.
Derek Bergeson secured the defensive touchdown, adding six catches for 64 yards on offense. Gunnar Anderson finished with two interceptions for Royal.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline tops Liberty Bell 34-16
ACH led 26-0 at the half on their way to a win in their season opener against Liberty Bell. The Warriors finished with 235 yards rushing for the game with Dane Isaak leading the way with 163 yards and two touchdowns. Parker Roberts added 61 yards and a score.
Moses Lake falls to Wenatchee 7-28
Everett Ashley finished with 140 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns for the Chiefs. Lerenz Thomas led Moses Lake in receiving with three catches for 70 yards, while Brandon Johnson added four catches for 50 yards. Thomas added an interception on the defensive side.
Soap Lake beats Entiat 45-12
Christian Foster led Soap Lake on the ground with 145 yards and three rushing touchdowns. Diego Garza added four more touchdowns, three passing and one rushing, finishing with 175 yards passing and 56 yards on the ground.
Angel Rodriguez led the defense with eight tackles, while Axel Soltero added three sacks.

Quincy takes Wahluke 8-4
Quincy’s Emily Wurl finished with five goals for the Jacks in the win over Wahluke at home on Saturday. Karla Nunez, Brianna Herrera and Sheridan Donovan added goals for Quincy in the win. Wahluke’s Ana Andrade scored all four goals for the Warriors.
Warden beats Royal 2-0
Grace Richins and Vida Borrego secured goals for the Cougars in the win over the Knights at Royal High School on Saturday afternoon. Warden moves to 1-2 on the year, while Royal falls to 0-3.
Moses Lake loses to Eastmont 1-6
Olivia Waites secured the lone goal for the Chiefs on a penalty kick as the Chiefs fell on the road at Eastmont High School on Saturday afternoon. Moses Lake moves to 0-3 on the season.
