The contract actions may involve reassignments, changes in the place or type of use of the M&I surface water. Any changes would be in accordance with the State of Washington water right statutes and Federal Reclamation Law. PUBLIC NOTICE THE DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR BUREAU OF RECLAMATION QUINCY GROUND WATER SUBAREA COLUMBIA BASIN PROJECT, WASHINGTON NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT: The Department of the Interior, through the Bureau of Reclamation, in accordance with Washington Administrative Code 173-134A-130, proposes during calendar years 2021 and 2022, with respect to contracts for the use of artificially stored ground water within the Quincy Ground Water Subarea, Columbia Basin Project, Washington (most of which are individual landowners) to execute or approve contracts, replacement contracts, successor-in-interest documents, amendments for minor changes in the lands or artificially stored ground water described therein. The contract actions may involve reassignments, changes in the place or type of use of the artificially stored ground water. Any changes would be in accordance with the State of Washington water right statutes. The contracting program began in 1975 when the Quincy Subarea was established under Washington State ground water management regulations. Since then the Washington State Department of Ecology has issued permits conditioned to require the recipient to enter into a Contract with the Bureau of Reclamation in order to receive water. The Quincy Ground Water Subarea is described in Washington Administrative Code 173-134-040. Subarea withdrawals are authorized for lands underlain by artificially stored ground water described in Department of Ecology Docket No. 74-722, signed January 8, 1975. CALL FOR BIDS CITY OF MATTAWA GOVERNMENT ROAD SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of Mattawa, 521 East Government Road, Mattawa, Washington, 99349, up to 11:00 a.m.; local time on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct Government Road Sidewalk Improvements. This contract provides for the construction of approximately 600 square yards of sidewalk and 10 ADA complaint curb ramps along Government Road, from Mansion Street to Columbia Avenue, including but not limited to excavation, grading, subgrade preparation, cement concrete curb, gutters, curb ramps, sidewalks, hot mix asphalt pavement marking, miscellaneous surface restoration, permanent signing, traffic control and all other appurtenances required to complete the work. The Work shall be substantially complete within 30 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Mattawa, Washington. Public Notice Grant County Mosquito Control District No.1 (GCMCD) is announcing the beginning of the spray application season. The district will be utilizing multiple insecticides for 2021. These include Vectobac GS, VectoMax FG, VectoPrime, Altosid, Natular G, Natular G30, Metalarv, CoCo Bear, Duet, Zenivex, and Merus. The active ingredients of these insecticides are Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, Bacillus sphaericus, Methoprene, Spinosad, mineral oil, Sumithrin, Piperonyl Butoxide, Prallethrin, Pyrethrin, and Etofenprox. Spray applications will begin in March and continue through October 2021, all of which are weather dependent. Treatment locations will be within the mosquito control district boundary, which can be found on our website www.gcmcd1.org.
