Royal beats Eastmont 50-10
Royal picked up a win over Eastmont on the road in their opener, 50-10. The Knights led 28-3 at the half, adding another 22 in the second half. Cooper Christensen finished with nine catches for 210 yards and three touchdowns. Senior quarterback Caleb Christensen completed 22 of 35 passes for 311 yards with 4 passing TDs and one rushing score.
Derek Bergeson secured the defensive touchdown, adding six catches for 64 yards on offense. Gunnar Anderson finished with two interceptions for Royal.
Warden blanks Oroville 28-0
Dahani Trupp led the way for the Cougars on the ground with 133 yards and a rushing touchdown. Warden junior Zach Elizalde threw for 153 yards and a pair of scores in the second half. Cael Cox led the Cougars’ defense with seven tackles, chipping in a 38-yard fumble recovery for the defensive score.

Warden beats Royal 2-0
Grace Richins and Vida Borrego secured goals for the Cougars in the win over the Knights at Royal High School on Saturday afternoon. Warden moves to 1-2, and Royal falls to 0-3.
Girls volleyball
Warden falls to Tonasket 2-3
The Cougars took the opening set 25-16 before splitting the next two sets by less than three points. Tonasket would hold on to take the final two sets and the match on Saturday afternoon.
