A Puyallup man died Saturday afternoon from injuries in an ORV crash at the Moses Lake Sand Dunes.
Joshua Soloman, 37, was riding solo in a four-wheeled ORV Saturday when the vehicle “landed hard at the base of a 30-foot sand dune,” according to a Grant County Sheriff’s Office social media post. Riders and first responders tried to save him, but his injuries were severe.
Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison’s staff will autopsy Solomon’s body, but his death “appears to be the result of a tragic accident,” according to the GCSO. Solomon’s family was notified.
“Josh was a long-time ORV rider, an ally and supporter of the Moses Lake and Beverly dunes, and an avid ORV enthusiast,” the post stated. “Josh was a founder of the SendItKru ORV group which enjoyed many days and weekends at the Moses Lake and Beverly dunes. Josh was well-known and well-liked by Grant County ORV deputies. We are left heartbroken by Josh‘s death and cherish our memories of Josh. We send our love, support, and prayers for peace to Josh’s family and friends. We’ll miss him.”
