The Teakettle Quilt Guild of Columbia Falls is set to host its annual two-day spring Quilt and Craft Sale from 10 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 9 and from 9 to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10.

The occasion is a welcome occurrence for local quilting aficionados given that the Guild’s fall sale was “unfortunately canceled,” this year said publicity chairman for the Guild, Debbie Bowers.

Guild members will have an array of quilts, placemats, table runners, dish towels and many other craft and gift items for the public to peruse and purchase.

The event’s major fundraiser, which helps the Guild donate to local charities throughout the year, is the raffle of a beautifully hand-crafted

quilt, with tickets selling at $1 apiece or six for $5. The raffle winner will be randomly picked then notified on April 17.

Work from the Guild’s 2021 “Featured Quilter” Edna Cotton of Columbia Falls will also be on full display during the benefit.

The event will also be an opportunity to collect donations of any non-perishable food items for local food banks.

This year’s gala will be held in a new location at the Quonset hut adjacent to the Hillside Church at 5685 Highway 93 South, Whitefish.

Hand sanitizing stations will be provided, wearing masks or face coverings will be encouraged and any mandates or other considerations in place at the time of the event will be adhered to.
