The North Kalispell commercial corridor is getting its own Taco Bell.

The fast-food chain is slated to add another Kalispell location by the end of the year at 2260 U.S. 93 North in the Spring Prairie commercial subdivision.

It will be located near an anticipated new Chipotle restaurant at 2261 U.S. 93 North and other recent additions to the commercial landscape on the west side of the highway, such as the Old Navy store that opened earlier this year.

Aaron Holm with Mosaic Architecture in Helena, the architect for the project, said construction on the new restaurant will start in July.

Holm is hopeful Taco Bell will be up and running by Christmas this year.

The state-of-the-art building is the newest prototype in the Taco Bell lineup, Holm said.

He described the design as “a little more modern.”

Its features will include COVID-friendly developments like ample outdoor seating. The outdoor space also will be incorporated into the multi-use path along the edge of the property.

It will be an innovative addition to Kalispell’s other Taco Bell location on East Idaho Street.

An additional Taco Bell restaurant that was expected to go up in Columbia Falls has been put on hold, Holm said. Taco Bell announced it would add a new location in Columbia Falls back in 2019, but a year and a half later, those plans are still up in the air.
