Badger golf hits the mark with strong finish

RATHDRUM — Girls golf team swept the competition in the Intermountain league on April 18, after traveling south to the Links golf course for the final IML match of the season.
The girls team won their fourth match shooting a 407 to defeat second-place Kellogg by 15 strokes. Priest River shot a team total of 464, with Timberlake trailing with a final score of 467.
According to golf coach Ralph Lotspeich, “It was a great day and experience for all involved.”
Medalist Braylyn Bayer led the charge by scoring an 82, followed by her sister Avery Bayer with an 88, earning Avery Bayer a second-place finish.
Mia Blackmore finished with a 111, while Lily Blackmore shot a 126 to contribute to the winning margin.
The boys team was led by Trent Freeze, who helped the team with a score of 112, Evan Nesbitt fired a 116 and Zane Carver close behind with a 117. Completing the scoring for the Badgers was Tyson Tadlock with a 123 and Isidro Perez shooting a 128 for their fourth-place team finish.
