POST FALLS — A Washington woman is facing multiple felonies after police said they found almost 40 grams of cocaine in her car.
Shaylene C. Hollingshead, 29, of Valley, Wash., is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and with trafficking in cocaine, both felonies.
Police said they stopped Hollingshead’s car a little after midnight Friday for an alleged traffic violation.
Hollingshead reportedly said she was transporting the car to Spokane for the owner, a friend who was picking up another vehicle.
The car’s license plate reportedly did not have a valid return, and Hollingshead allegedly kept numerous items, including a purse and a backpack, in the trunk.
Police said they saw a glass pipe with white residue on it inside the car.
A search of the vehicle allegedly yielded about 29.5 grams of meth and about 39.8 grams of cocaine, as well as numerous small clear plastic baggies, a scale and other paraphernalia.
Hollingshead told police she knew nothing of any drugs in the car, according to court documents.
Police arrested Hollingshead at the scene.
Judge James Combo ordered Friday that Hollingshead be held on $75,000 bail.
In Idaho, trafficking between 28 and 200 grams of meth or cocaine is a felony punishable by a minimum of three years in prison.
