Academy hosting free piano workshop

Suzuki String Academy is hosting a free Suzuki piano workshop on Saturday, May 8, from 10-11 a.m.
The academy is located at 102 S. Euclid Ave., Suite 106, Sandpoint.
The workshop will be taught by Simon Pranaitis, a local Sandpoint resident, musician, and piano instructor at Suzuki String Academy. The workshop is for both beginning and experienced piano players as well as for those interested in learning pano through the Suzuki method. Topics will include ear training, introduction to music theory and, of course, how to have fun making music.
The community is invited to visit the academy and learn how it uses the Suzuki method through both private and group classes.
Pranaitis has been playing the piano for 33 years and has over 12 years of teaching experience. He loves classical and jazz music, playing both as a soloist and accompanist.
