The Hayden Kite Festival put on by the city of Hayden is set for noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Broadmoore Park, 2691 W. Broadmoore Drive.

It is free and for all ages. A limited number of kites will be available for those who don't have one.

Categories will include Best in Show, High Flyer and Best Homemade.

Registration and kite flying will be from noon to 1:30. Judging will be from 1:30 to 2, followed by an awards ceremony at 2:15.

The festival was originally scheduled April 24 but was canceled due to a forecast of rain and was rescheduled for May 8.
