Wolfpack makes short work of Frenchtown

FRENCHTOWN — Emma Cooke doubled and drove in two runs and Kynzie Mohl homered to back her own pitching as Glacier took down Class Frenchtown 13-3 Saturday in a non-conference softball game.

Leadoff hitter Kenna Vanorny had three hits and drove in two runs, but the lower third of the lineup for the Western AA Wolfpack (16-2) — Cooke, Teagan Powell and Alli Kernan — excelled, combining for six runs and six RBIs. Cooke scored three times.

Mohl’s solo home run gave her seven on the season, and she also got the win on the mound.

She fanned five in four innings of work, allowing five hits, a walk and two earned runs. Ella Farrell finished up on the bump, striking out four in two innings with one walk.

The game ended after six innings under the mercy rule.

Chloe Long and Toni Beatty drove in runs for the Southwest A Broncs (14-3).
