Law roundup: Manager not happy to find ‘homeless camp’

A manager asked Kalispell Police Department to do patrols throughout the night after the business closed because they reportedly went into work to find “an entire homeless camp” in the parking lot and wanted all transients found on the property after business hours moved along.
A man requested a vehicle inspection to get an “abandoned title,” because he wanted to take it. Dispatchers advised him that he couldn’t just take an abandoned vehicle he did not own. When dispatchers asked him his name he hung up.
A man claimed another man with a mohawk was being very disorderly and “was the one” who busted out his car windows.
An intoxicated customer reportedly refused to leave a bar and kept falling asleep. An employee wanted officers to escort him out of the building. Although the man could answer basic questions he couldn’t stand on his own and had no bowel control so officers called in medical personnel. He was transported to the hospital.
A woman requested police assistance getting her debit card and other property her mother allegedly locked in her vehicle.
A parent said their child saw a suspicious-looking vehicle with duct tape on it and a broken windshield parked in front of their house on a city street and someone was sleeping in the backseat.
A man, who had been drinking, allegedly pulled a woman’s hair and held her down. When she went to hide he was seen holding her infant and calling for her.
Officers picked up a hypodermic needle someone found in the grass.
Someone reported a downed stop sign had been propped up at an intersection.
A parent said his daughter broke the windshield of his car and wanted to file a police report.
Columbia Falls Police Department responded to a complaint about a child throwing rocks at passing vehicles and a lot of yelling on Crescent Drive.
Someone called officers regarding a motor vehicle hit-and-run on Railroad Street. They allegedly said they didn’t want to report the incident because there was no vehicle damage, however, they did want the police to talk to the driver about his attitude.
A woman was being followed around a store by an ex so she had an employee walk out with her.
