Growth Summit to address local development

The Kalispell Chamber of Commerce will host a new event — Growth Summit 2021 — from 8 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. next Tuesday at the Hilton Garden Inn.
The socially distanced, in-person gathering will look at "factors both spurring and inhibiting growth across Kalispell and the Flathead Valley," according to a press release for the event.
Presenters will include those involved in commercial real estate and mixed-use development, as well as city planners, business owners, business services, landowners and more.
Nic McKinley, CEO and founder of Whitefish software company Verafi, will serve as the keynote speaker. McKinley will address strategies for encouraging non-brick-and-mortar growth, capital infusion and recruitment into the Flathead Valley.
Other topics during the event will include redevelopment in downtown Kalispell, transportation and housing.
The schedule is as follows:
7-8 a.m.: Check in and networking
8-8:15 a.m.: Welcome remarks
8:15-9 a.m.: Growth and momentum across the Flathead
9-10 a.m.: Redevelopment in downtown Kalispell
10-10:15 a.m.: Break
10:15-11 a.m.: Innovations in transportation and community mobility
11 a.m.-noon: The case for childcare and attainable housing
12 -12:20 p.m.: Break for buffet lunch
12:30-1:15 p.m.: Keynote address with Nic McKinley
