BONNERS FERRY — Caleb Knight had three hits, including a three-run single in the top of the seventh inning for Timberlake, which fell to the Bonners Ferry Badgers 12-10 in the 3A District 1 championship game on Tuesday at Bonners Ferry High.
Bonners Ferry (15-8) advances to the state 3A tournament at either Treasure Valley Community College or Fruitland High, facing the runner-up from District 4-5-6. Timberlake (11-10) will host Kellogg (8-11), which beat Priest River 14-5 in the other district game in Osburn on Tuesday. Priest River finishes 1-19.
Bo Bateman and Porter Schulte had two RBIs each for Bonners Ferry.
