COEUR d’ALENE — Police arrested a Washington man for allegedly trafficking drugs.

Ryan S. Seher, 22, is charged with trafficking in heroin and possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.

Coeur d’Alene police contacted Seher around 1 a.m. Sunday at a gas station. He was reportedly wanted on a warrant for petite theft, a misdemeanor.

Drug paraphernalia was allegedly visible inside Seher’s vehicle.

A search of the vehicle reportedly yielded more paraphernalia, including scorched foil and straws used to inhale smoke, commonly referred to as “tooters.”

Police said they found multiple baggies that contained heroin and meth.

Seher was in possession of about 4.6 grams of heroin and about 5.5 grams of meth at the time of his arrest, police said.

In Idaho, possession of two or more grams of heroin is considered trafficking.

Trafficking between 2 and 7 grams of heroin is a felony offense punishable by a minimum of three years in prison and a minimum $10,000 fine.

A passenger in Seher’s car was arrested for frequenting a place where controlled substances are used. The charge is a misdemeanor.

Judge Robert Caldwell ordered that Seher be held on $25,000 bail for the felony charges.
