Expect lane closures and reduced speed of 40 mph on Interstate 90 between mileposts 148 and 152, east of George.

From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Friday, this section of roadway will be resurfaced. Central Washington Asphalt Inc. and Shamrock Paving Inc. started Monday and are planing and paving the existing roadway with hot mix asphalt to prolong the life of the road and provide a smoother surface for the public.

Workers will mainly be positioned on the westbound bridges, where the contractors are surfacing the bridge decks.
