MISSOULA — Eureka’s Taylor Lancaster is good in the distances and Bigfork’s Seth Osborne flies high in the pole vault, this much we know.

The teams scores after the first day of the Western B Divisional are more of a mystery, though Bigfork coach Sue Loeffler confirmed that the Vikings (52 points) and Valkyries (80) lead both sides of the ledger. The website Athletic.net did not have accurate team totals at press time.

Thompson Falls’ boys saw Justin Morgan win the 3,200 and Cody Burke take the discus, both in impressive fashion. Andrew Rush won the 800 for Mission.

The Vals got wins from Chloe Raats in the 400 and from their short relay. Thompson Falls had wins from Jodi Detallf (discus) and Chesney Lowe (pole vault).

Lancaster swept the 800 and 3,200 for the Lions.

The meet concludes Saturday at MCPS Stadium.
