With great sadness in our hearts, Frances Cecelia Rippon Piephoff, born March 17, 1931, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Schneidmiller Hospice Home at the age of 90 on Oct. 8, 2021.

She leaves behind her husband, Clyde D. Piephoff, 73 years of marriage. He wrote this heartfelt poem expressing his life with her.

Ode to My Wife

From the first day we met! My future was set! The beautiful bride was fortunately by my side. Through rough times and good times — we were there for each other. I could never ever have chosen another. Though trials and strife has affected our life, we’ve been able to overcome and be together until it is done. Until that time is met you should bet the best is yet to come. The years have flown by so soon brings us into another full moon. Bright sunrise’s, sun set, blessed days-our future come what may. Your loving husband CDP.

Together they raised four children, Clyde Doyle Piephoff, Linda Pittman, Sherry Smith, and Sandra Miller. Fran was fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 16. She touched so many lives with her kindness and gentleness, as well as unforgettable memories that will be forever cherished. Fran will be truly missed.
