Dean Edward Eisenbarth, 93

Dean Edward Eisenbarth left on the last great highway Oct. 23, 2021.

Dean was born July 1, 1928, to Fred and Vera (Colony) Eisenbarth in Spokane, Wash. He had two brothers, Robert Eisenbarth and Larry Eisenbarth.

Dean was raised in Spokane and attended Rogers High School. In 1943, during WWII, he joined the Army Transport Service and made a trip to the Pacific Ocean, and quickly decided to return to high school.

Dean married Pauline Belyea in 1945, and they had three daughters, Diane, Dona and Linda. He went to work for Washington Water Power Co. (now Avista Utilities), working as a commercial meterman. He worked for WWP for 43.5 years.

Dean later married Laura J. Jones and he was blessed with three stepsons, Lon, Len and Larry. They were married 59 years.

Dean enjoyed everything outdoors: camping, fishing, motorcycling, mountain climbing, water and snow skiing, as well as golf. He and Laura spent 28 years wintering in Yuma, Ariz., with a great group of friends and family from this area.

Dean was a member of IBEW Local #77, Masonic Lodge #24, Shriners, Elks Lodge #1254, WWP Trailblazers and Coeur d’Alene Eagles.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Vera Eisenbarth, his brothers Larry and Robert and his wife Byrdella Eisenbarth, and his daughter Diane E. Schmidt, stepson Len E. Jones, son-in-law Gary W. Sandeno, granddaughter Keesha J. Vessell and great-grandson Samuel Williams.

He is survived by his wife Laura J. Eisenbarth, daughters Dona Miller (John), Linda K. Sandeno, Lon E. Jones (Dianne), Larry A. Jones (Rita), son-in-law David Schmidt. He and Laura had 12 grandchildren and 40-plus great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Schneidmiller Hospice House staff for their loving support and care.

The final arrangements have been entrusted to English Funeral Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
