The Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber of Commerce is narrowing its search for a new president and CEO.

Rick Rasmussen, board chairman, said Thursday they received more than 60 applications, which are being reviewed by their search committee. They stopped accepting applications last week.

"We are narrowing it down to finalists next week and the goal is to interview before month end, then make an offer," Rasmussen wrote in an email.

He said they hope to have a new president/CEO in time for their annual banquet on Dec. 9.

Derrell Hartwick resigned in mid-September. He became president and CEO in December 2019.

Linda Coppess, the chamber's vice president for member relations, took over as interim president and CEO.
