They wear it well

Talk about making up for lost time.
In 2019, Bras on Dudes raised a record $15,550.
In 2020, the fundraiser was canceled due to COVID-19.
In 2021, organizers hoped to double the fundraising mark of two years ago.
They did even better.
The annual event in September that included a live auction and fashion show featuring decorated bras modeled by local "dudes" pulled in $35,000.
The funds for the fourth straight year went to the Windermere Foundation, an important part of the Windermere Real Estate company values, to distribute to area nonprofit cancer service programs to help cover living expenses of cancer patients.
"Bras and Dudes is a truly heart warming event," said Richard Jurvelin, foundation representative. "The organizers and participants all have an amazing passion to help those who are struggling with the challenges of cancer — medically as well as the impact it has on normal life responsibilities. The Windermere Foundation is honored that they have chosen us to help identify and support nonprofit agencies that teach out to support and help the most needy families."
The event is held the last Friday in September at the Coeur d'Alene Eagles Lodge on Sherman Avenue.
Holly Hansen, organizer, said Bras on Dudes continues to grow due to
the support of community volunteers, donors and "awesome Dudes."
It's been around eight years. Its goal is to help those who need it.
"On behalf of the Windermere Foundation, thank you to all who attend or donated to support the event," a press release said. "Get your 'Bras' ready guys, see you in the fall of 2022!
