Betty Lou McWhorter Jones, 89

Betty Lou McWhorter Jones, 89, went home to her Savior on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021 at 9 p.m. in Deer Park, Washington, where she lived with her daughter Ellen and husband Rich for the last 17 years.

Betty was born on July 14, 1932, in Buffalo Hart, Illinois. She married Stanley "Bud" Jones on Aug. 8, 1953, in Kalispell and lived for 54 years in Kila.

Betty was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, and known by many for her years of sacrificial service as a favorite cook at Bible camps and for several schools in the Marion and Kalispell area. She loved crafts, and loved to teach them to others.

Betty is survived by daughters, Caroline Hahn of Coeur d'Alene Idaho, Ellen (Rich) Miller of Deer Park, and Cindy (Russ) Brockmann of Fort Collins, Colorado; sons, Joe (Connie) and John (Belinda) of Kalispell; and by 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Betty was predeceased by her husband, Bud, after nearly 50 years of marriage; and by daughters, Beth Ann and Christine.

She will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at Smith Valley Grange Sunday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m.
