Refs needed for Coeur d'Alene rec men's basketball games
COEUR d'ALENE — The Coeur d'Alene Recreation Department is looking for qualified individuals to officiate in its men's basketball program.
Games are played on Sundays at Woodland Middle School.
Pay is $35 per game.

Former WSU soccer star Weaver called up to national team
CHICAGO — Former Washington State women's soccer great Morgan Weaver was called up to the full U.S. Women's National Team squad as the team heads to Australia for a pair of friendlies at the end of November.
Weaver is the first Coug in program history to earn a spot on the American squad. As a senior in 2019, Weaver, along with Makamae Gomera-Stevens, became the first Cougs to be called into national team camp in a late year identification camp ahead of the 2019 World Cup.
Weaver finished her all-american career at WSU with 43 goals and 98 total points, both ranking second all-time in program history. She led the Cougs to their first College Cup before being selected No. 2 overall in the NWSL Draft by the Portland Thorns.
She scored the decisive shootout goal as the Thorns claimed the 2021 Challenge Cup. Weaver helped the Thorns earn the top seed in the NWSL playoffs.
Team USA is set to play two matches against the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup co-hosts on the trip to Australia to end the 2021 schedule. The first match will take place at Stadium Australia in Sydney on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. local time (Friday, Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. PT on FS2) and the second will be at the McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 8:05 p.m. local time (1:05 a.m. PT on ESPN).

Holmgren, Nembhard and Timme land on preseason Wooden Award Watch List
LOS ANGELES — Gonzaga's Chet Holmgren, Andrew Nembhard and Drew Timme were named to the John R. Wooden Award presented by Wendy’s Preseason Top 50 Watch List announced on ESPN Tuesday.
Chosen by a preseason poll of national college basketball experts, the list is comprised of 50 student-athletes who are the early front-runners for the most prestigious honors in college basketball, the Wooden Award All American Team and Most Outstanding Player Award.
Three 2021 Wooden Award All Americans headline the Preseason Top 50: Kofi Cockburn (Illinois), Hunter Dickinson (Michigan) and Timme. The top three schools in the AP Top 25 and coaches poll each have three selections on the Preseason Top 50: Gonzaga (Holmgren, Nembhard, and Timme), UCLA (Tyger Campbell, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Johnny Juzang), and Kansas (Ochai Agbaji, Remy Martin and David McCormack).
WSU's Leger-Walker named to Naismith Trophy and Wooden Award watch lists
LOS ANGELES — Washington State sophomore Charlisse Leger-Walker has become the first player in program history to be named to both John R. Wooden Award and Naismith Trophy watch lists.
It's the second and third watch lists that Leger-Walker has been added to in the preseason. She was also selected to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award watch list, which goes to the top shooting guard in the nation. The guard from New Zealand was also named Preseason All-Pac-12 by both the coaches and media.
Last season, Leger-Walker became the 22nd player in Pac-12 history to be selected to both the All-Pac-12 and All-Pac-12 Freshman team honors and she was named to the USBWA All-American Honorable Mention squad.
