Dancing and music will fill the Coeur d’Alene Casino and Hotel on Oct. 9, for the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra’s Blazing Fiddles Gala, a musical dining experience fundraiser starting at 5 p.m.
The host for the evening will be Abbey Crawford, an actress, cabaret and award-winning vocalist.
Crawford will be joined by performances from the Native American Rose Creek Singers, and Fancy Dancers from the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, as well as 26 western dressed violinists and string players from the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra playing an array of old Hollywood Western themes.
A buffet service of Southwestern fare will be provided.
Everyone attending will get their own paddles to use for the silent and live auctions and paddle raise.
Due to COVID-19 precautions, seating is limited to 200 attendees to allow for ample spacing of tables and social distancing. Masks are also recommended.
For guests who are vaccinated and prefer to sit with other vaccinated guests, designated tables will be made available, otherwise guests are free to roam and sit where they please.
“We want to make it a fun, enjoyable and safe experience for everyone,” organizer Cora Powers said. “Guests are being provided with options that will allow them to feel comfortable. Get your cowboy on and be prepared to have a great time.”
For those who wish to stay the night, the Casino has special rates for those attending the event.
Tickets are $125 for an individual and $1,000 to $1,500 for a table, and can be purchased at www.cdasymphony.org.
All proceeds will go to support the symphony and its concert series for the 43rd season.
