Wynema Lurene King, 68, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, in Sandpoint.

Services are pending due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Wynema was born in Alameda, California, on August 29, 1953, the daughter of James and Lurene King. She attended schools in the Bay area prior to moving to Lake Tahoe where she would meet her lifelong friend Vickie. In 1995, she moved to the Sandpoint area and began her career as a certified nursing assistant in the healthcare field.

Wynema was a very skilled artist, working in many mediums, especially painting. She was a fabulous seamstress and enjoyed creating for her family and friends. She was a very caring, loving and loyal person, acquiring many loyal friends, and you know who you are. She was a child of God, with a very forgiving spirit. Knowing Wynema, her friends will always appreciate the song, “You’ve Got A Friend”.

Wynema is survived by her children, Georgia Busse and Tanner Krug, both in Tennessee; her grandchildren; her brothers, Jimmy King and Jerry King; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are her loyal friends, Craig and Vickie Vidargar, who, she considered family, and will carry out her final wishes.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Patricia.
