MASKS: You’ve got it backward

Wendy Smith, in her Oct. 3 letter, mentions reasons for wearing a mask, not against masking. These “brand new and freshly washed, mask contained a list of bacteria, parasites and fungi.” These masks were examined by a lab after a day at school.
She then misleads you to believe we shouldn’t wear masks because they are doing what they were designed to do. Those pathogens were trapped by the mask, which prevented them from entering the wearer’s lungs. Her argument was more “for than against” mask wearing.
To borrow a phrase from an earlier letter, “Mask it, or Casket.” The choice is yours.
