Noxon, Charlo volleyball teams each beat Superior

In high school volleyball action, Noxon and Mission each recorded wins over Superior last week.

Noxon dropped the first set, 25-14, before rallying and winning the next three sets, 26-24, 25-19 and 25-6.

The Red Devils had strong serving performances with 20 aces overall. Mia Vogel led the way with seven while Vanessa Horner added six and Emily Brown had five.

Noxon also enjoyed a balanced effort at the net as six different players had at least three kills. The Red Devils had 31 for the game. Riley Richter and Horner each had six. Brown had five and Callie Cano 4.

Maygan Swanson and Seanna Richter each had three kills while Vogel and Aubrey Erwin each had two.

Defensively, Swanson and Brown had two blocks each while Richter and Horner each had one.

Riley Richter and Brown each had 15 assists while Vogel had two digs.

For Superior, Payton Milender and Trinity Donaldson had two aces each. Cassie Green had six assists. Lanie Crabb had four kills to lead her team.

Milender had 18 digs and Kim Turner had three blocks.

In Saturday's match, Charlo swept Superior, 25-18, 25-12, 25-14.

Payton Milender led the Bobcats with three aces and 18 digs. Assists – Cassie Green had seven assists, four kills and one block.
