The Quincy Police Department is looking for two men who allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint early Monday at a gas station.
An officer was flagged down by a resident at about 4:18 a.m. who said he was outside his car when he saw a black Honda Civic pull up. Two men got out and one pulled a handgun and demanded cash and the victim’s wallet, according to a QPD social media post. The victim said the suspects likely saw an approaching officer, jumped into the Honda and fled south on state Route 281, leaving the town.
The Honda was found, abandoned near Beverly Burke Road and state Route 243, and was reported stolen earlier. A Grant County Sheriff’s Office deputy recovered the car.
Anyone with information can call the QPD or dispatch at 509-787-2222.
