A Thursday night shooting at a Post Falls gas station left one man wounded.

Post Falls police reported receiving multiple 911 calls about a shooting at the Maverick gas station in the 5900 block of Pointe Parkway about 6:45 p.m.

Police found two vehicles with bullet damage and one man with a gunshot wound, according to a press release.

Police said about three shots were fired from a handgun.

Officers applied a tourniquet to the male and he was transported by Kootenai County Fire and Rescue to Kootenai Health, where he was last reported to be in stable condition, a press release said.

Another man on the scene was identified as the shooter, police said. His identity was not released and police said he was not arrested.

An investigation continues.

Police are seeking witnesses of the reported shooting. Call Detective Williamson, (208) 773-3517.
