Man fatally shot during argument in Moses Lake

A 27-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday morning during an argument on Arlington Drive in Moses Lake and the suspect is in custody, officials said.
Grant County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Moses Lake Police Department officers responded at about 8:15 a.m. to Pershing Road for a shots fired call and shortly thereafter to the 1100 block of Arlington Drive for a domestic disturbance, according to a GCSO social media post.
Officers found the 27-year-old man who was shot on the back porch of a home. He was taken to Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to witnesses, David R. Hagar, 48, of Moses Lake, and the man allegedly were arguing at 1106 Arlington Drive when Hagar allegedly fired a gun at the man multiple times. Hagar fled to his home at 1102 Arlington Drive. He was taken into custody without incident.
The GCSO Major Crimes Unit is investigating the alleged crime.
The Grant County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name after notifying his family.
