Suppiger committed to excellence and leadership
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 3 years, 3 months AGO
This letter is in support of Gary Suppiger for trustee on the LPOSD board. Through his activism at our church and the school board, I have seen his commitment to excellence and leadership. Gary is a family man who participated in his own children’s successful education and is now giving his time for the benefit of the district. He is representative of Zone 2, which includes everyone who lives south of the Long Bridge, except those that vote at Sagle Senior Center and the Garfield Sewer District.
Gary has been a trustee since 2017 and has supported school programs that improve student success. He believes in preserving what is important including programs that bring our families and communities together. He supports all-day kindergarten, popular sports programs, extracurricular programs and student led clubs. These programs keep students engaged and promote their success.
As a trustee, Gary recognizes the importance of accountability in terms of spending the permanent levy. This focus on transparent spending adds trustworthiness and responsibility to the use of public funds. While other candidates are trying to get rid of the levy, the continuation of it allows small schools like Southside and Northside to remain open. These vital schools serve populations that would otherwise cause overcrowding of other schools in the district.
Vote Gary Suppiger on Nov. 2.
