Officials continued searching Friday for a 34-year-old Virginia woman reported missing in Glacier National Park.

Jennifer Lee Coleman was believed to be hiking on Monday or Tuesday around Logan Pass, possibly on the Highline Trail or a treacherous ridge known as the Dragon's Tail, park officials said.

Coleman was supposed to check out of the West Glacier KOA campground on Tuesday but never did, officials said. Rangers found her vehicle at Logan Pass on Wednesday.

The park said Friday that the search team included personnel from Two Bear Air, Flathead County Search and Rescue, the Flathead County Sheriff's Office and the Flathead National Forest.

Coleman was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 128 pounds, with blue eyes and blond, straight, shoulder-length hair.

Officials said she may have been wearing a tank top, spandex pants, sunglasses, brown slip-on boots, a turquoise and pink flower-patterned scarf, and a dark-colored backpack.

Park spokeswoman Gina Kerzman said rescuers were seeking tips from anyone who might have seen Coleman in order to narrow their search area.

The Dragon's Tail is a steep, off-trail climbing route southwest of Mount Reynolds near Logan Pass. In July 2020, a 20-year-old man fell roughly 500 feet and died while trying to retrieve a backpack in the area.
