Whitefish soccer doubles up on Hamilton

HAMILTON — Sophie Olson and Emma Barron each scored two goals for the Whitefish Bulldogs in a 8-2 win over Hamilton on Friday.

Maeve Ingelfinger, Anna Akey, Sadie Olson and Brooke Roberts also added goals for the Bulldogs (2-0). Roberts had two assists.

Whitefish plays Corvallis at 2 p.m. today.

HAMILTON — Whitefish’s Gabe Menicke scored five goals to help defeat Hamilton 8-0 in Northwest A soccer Friday.

Chase Sabin added three assists, and Collin Lyman had two assists.

Goalkeepers Will Peppmeier and Ethan Schott combined for the shutout.

Whitefish returns to action today against Corvallis.

Stillwater Christian 6, Columbia Falls JV 3

Stillwater Christian took the lead in the first half and held off the Columbia Falls Wildkats JV to win 6-3 Thursday.

Adi Eiseman had a hat trick for the Cougars and Belle Schwartz scored two goals.

Goalkeeper Katie Bailey made a key save on a penalty kick to keep Stillwater (4-1) in the lead.

“These girls work hard,” coach Kristie Birkenstock said.” They love each other and this game. We were able to go ahead of the Wildcats early and hang on to that lead throughout the game. Columbia Falls is a good team and I’m proud of my players that they were able to read the game and respond in such a way.”
