Two men were injured early Monday morning in an alleged DUI-caused collision on state Route 17, near Stratford Road, in Moses Lake.
Jose L. Juan Cruz, 24, of Moses Lake, was driving south in a silver 2000 Toyota Camry just before 3:23 a.m. on state Route 17, approaching Stratford Road, when the vehicle veered to the right, struck an embankment and rolled, according to the Washington State Patrol.
He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car. The car came to rest on its top, blocking lane one of southbound state Route 17.
Juan Cruz, and his passenger Brayhan Contreras Marmolejo, 20, of an unknown city, were taken to Samaritan Hospital for their injuries. Contreras Marmolejo was wearing a seat belt.
The WSP alleged Juan Cruz was driving while intoxicated and may file the charge with county prosecutors.
