High temps affect Deceitful fire

EAGLE — Unseasonably high temperatures and strong winds have increased fire behavior near the community of Eagle.
More than 200 resources — including firefighters, engines and heavy equipment — are committed to the Deceitful fire burning north of the Silver Valley.
The blaze encompasses more than 12,000 acres and threatens more than 200 structures.
Crews installed an indirect fire line this week near Fancy Gulch to combat the blaze backing west toward Eagle Creek.
Burn-out operations may occur to strengthen containment lines south of Bedrock Gulch, with air support also available in the area.
Smoke columns will remain visible near Prichard Creek, Eagle Creek, Murray and Babin’s Junction, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
Reduced forest closures remain in effect.

- Portion of 424 (Moon-Dobson)
- 620 (Character Ridge)
- 2361 (Cedar Creek)
- 2349 (Oregon Gulch/Toboggan Creek)
The following forest service trails are also closed:
- 17 (Graham Ridge)
- a segment of 18 (Graham-Coal Connection)
- 33 (Graham Creek)
- 933 (Scott Gulch)
- a portion fo 1586 (Deer Kid)
