Tire collection event scheduled

Grant County residents may dispose of tires for free Sept. 17 and Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the northwest corner of the intersection of Randolph Road Northeast and 19th Avenue Northeast, north of Moses Lake, according to information from Grant County Public Works.

Residents may bring to the collection event a maximum of 12 tires for passenger vehicles or light trucks per household. Tires may be up to 35 inches in diameter and will be accepted with or without rims.

No commercial tires will be accepted.

All loads must be secure.

Participants will have to bring a recent utility bill or state identification with their current address.

The event is sponsored by Grant County, Grant County Health District, the Port of Moses Lake, and Washington State Department of Ecology.
