The League of Women Voters of Kootenai County (LWVKC) invites local residents to register to vote on Tuesday, Sept. 28 — National Voter Registration Day.

The opportunity to register will be available from 1-7 p.m. at three libraries: the Coeur d'Alene Public Library, 702 E. Front; the Hayden Public Library, 8385 N. Government Way; and the Post Falls Library, 821 N. Spokane St.

The LWVKC's purpose is to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation in government. Voting in the Nov. 2 Nonpartisan Election is more important than ever, as many are running for mayoral, city council, school board and fire district positions.
