Soroptimists seek Women of Distinction

The Soroptimist International of Coeur d’Alene is seeking nominations for the 2021 Women of Distinction Awards.
As one of the first female-driven civic service groups, the Soroptimists aim to better the lives of women and girls in the community through education and personal growth.
Each year, the Soroptimists present “Women of Distinction” awards to those whose “achievements and dedication to community service set them apart.”
Award categories include:
Arts and culture
Business and professional
Community service
Education
Health
Public Service
Senior
The organization will host its 39th annual Women of Distinction Awards Ceremony on Nov. 5 at 11:30 a.m. Proceeds from the event go to support local women and girls through monetary awards and scholarships.
“Listening to the stories of the winners over the years shows that there are many unsung women in our community performing good works and changing lives every day,” longtime Soroptimist Barb Bradley said.
