Weekend prep roundup: Moses Lake football picks up first win over Lake City

The Chiefs picked up their first win of the season over the weekend as quarterback Brock Clark completed 16 of 17 passes to finish with 165 passing yards and two touchdown throws. Sergio Guzman finished with 92 yards rushing and a rushing touchdown to go with 72 yards receiving.
Royal High School 62, Cedar Park Christian School 0
Three passing touchdowns from Derek Bergeson and five rushing touchdowns between Kaleb Hernandez, Avery Ellis (2), Bergeson and Andon Delfoe led Royal High School in the shutout win. Gunnar Anderson finished with 76 yards receiving and two touchdowns to go with a forced fumble on defense.
The Knights allowed -4 total yards offense in the game and finished with 348 yards of total offense themselves.
Ephrata High School 14, Ellensburg High School 21
Travis Hendrick finished with 109 rushing yards for Ephrata against Ellensburg over the weekend, while quarterback Cole Hertz threw for 134 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Joshua Green added 70 rushing yards, 78 yards receiving and one receiving touchdown.

Diego Garza finished with 181 yards rushing, three rushing touchdowns, 172 yards passing and two passing touchdowns for Soap Lake in the win.

Natalie Bunch scored two goals for Moses Lake High School, and Hayleigh Throneberry added the third in Moses Lake’s loss to Eastmont High School.

Blake Jensen scored the lone goal for the Knights against La Salle on an unassisted goal.

Kali Gomez finished with nine assists and three aces for Othello in the 3-0 win over Quincy. Sydney Anderson finished with five kills and two blocks for the Huskies.
