HAILEY — The North Star League is getting back together — well at least in football.
During its board of directors meeting on Tuesday, the Idaho High School Activities Association approved petitions by Lakeside and Wallace to move down from 1A Division I to 1A Division II in football only. Starting in 2022, Clark Fork, Lakeside, Wallace, Mullan-St. Regis and Kootenai will all be in the North Star League for football, just like it used to be.
The board also approved Clark Fork's request to remain in 1A Division II for the 2022-24 cycle.
Additionally, the IHSAA board voted to move 5A/4A golf to the fall starting in 2022. To clarify, 5A/4A schools like Sandpoint will still play golf in the spring this season, but starting next school year it will be played in the fall. 3A/2A golf will still be played in the spring.
