at ‘Need for Speed’ Classic
STANWOOD, Ore. — Lakeland junior Terry Edwards finished second in the boys 400-meter ‘A’ race in the Sherwood “Need for Speed” Classic, finishing in 52.30 seconds.
Lakeland junior Preston Jeffs was second in the ‘A’ shot put with a throw of 47 feet, 4 inches and senior Grant Roth was third in the ‘A’ discus (128-2).
Events were split into an ‘A’ and ‘B’ heat after qualifying marks were entered.
Lakeland junior Stacey Barker was second in the 100-meter hurdles 'B' race (18.12) and sophomore Alanna Hinkle won the 300 hurdles (54.16) in the ‘B’ heat.

Lakeland’s Brady Hanna (boys singles), Malia Batman (girls singles) and the mixed doubles team of Bo Wilding and Maddie Hersh won in straight sets for the Hawks in a dual against the Bears at Ghormley Park.
Earlier, Lakeland fell to Lewiston 12-0 at Lewiston High.
Lakeland hosts Sandpoint on Tuesday.
