Alma Jean Guertin (Murbach) of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho passed away on April 5, 2022, leaving the world a little darker for all those that loved her. Alma was born in Spokane, Washington at Deaconess Hospital at 11:15 PM on November 16, 1947, to Lynn and Silvia Murbach of Davenport, Washington.
After graduating from Davenport High School, she joined the Army, where she married Thomas and had the first three of her children: Terri, Tamarra, and John. Upon leaving the service Alma moved to Medical Lake, Washington for a short time before relocating to California. After separating from her first husband, she met and married Richard (Rick) Guertin. Alma and Rick were married on November 17, 1977, in San Diego, California. This union would bless her with three more children: Travis, Lynn, and Emily.
Alma and Rick moved many times until eventually settling down in Rathdrum Idaho, where they resided until Rick’s death. After the death of her husband she moved to Boise, Idaho where she worked as a CNA and met Bob Connelly. Following retirement Alma and Bob moved to Hayden, Idaho where they lived until her death.
Alma’s many hobbies included knitting, reading, cooking, gardening, playing pool, camping, and fishing. Many afternoons were spent playing pool, listening to the jukebox, and chatting with friends at the Silver Fox, in Coeur d’Alene Idaho. Alma loved the outdoors and could often be found outside enjoying the fresh air and the feel of the sun on her face. Though her time on earth was short she left a long and lasting impact on all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children Terri and Chris Burnell, Tamarra and Tony Hallan, Travis and Hilary Guertin, Lynn and Nikki Guertin, Emily, and Brandon Minter; her mother, Sylvia Almeda Murbach; her two brothers, Terrance and Dorothy Murbach and Larry and Teri Murbach; her long-time partner Bob Connelly, eighteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
