Sandpoint alum TJ Davis does it again

Sandpoint alum and Eastern Oregon track athlete TJ Davis did it again.
He won the decathlon at the Cascade Conference Championships on Friday, April 22.
Not only did Davis take home first place in the event, but he beat the facility record at Banner Bank Track in La Grande, Oregon, scoring 7,101 points during the event.
His overall point total was 760 points ahead of second place finisher Thomas Dodgen from Oregon Tech.
Davis scored the most points in the 110-meter hurdles event, scoring 908. He finished the event with a time of 14.52.
Other high-scoring events for Davis included the 100-meter sprint resulting in 821 points. He finished the race with a time of 11.18.
He also had a stellar showing in the 400-meter sprint, finishing with a time of 49.33, which earned him 846 points toward his overall total.
He also had a first place finish in the long jump event, jumping 6.81 meters.
His worst event came in the javelin throw, where he threw 44.35 meters, which only earned him 505 points. He placed fifth overall in the event.
