Dorothy “Dottie” A. Schoene, 58, of Spokane, Wash., passed away April 1, 2022, in Puyallup, Wash. Dorothy was adopted by Mr. M. Dwane Reiss and Mrs. Dorothy A. Reiss, in Long Beach, Calif., where the family lived till Dottie was 6-years-old. Dottie was raised in Blythe, Calif., by her mother and father, until her father passed away April 1, 1973.

Dottie met Douglass E. Schoene a union iron worker in the winter of 1995 in Victorville, Calif. Douglass and Dottie resided in Victorville with Dottie’s two young daughters until moving to Las Vegas, Nev. Doug and Dottie married in June of 1996 and welcomed their third daughter in July of 1996. Douglass and Dottie moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in 2000 where they resided and raised their three daughters. Dottie took much joy in being a stay-at-home mom while Douglass traveled for work.

Above all else Dottie was the most loving grandmother and enjoyed spending her time watching her four grandkids grow up. They were truly the sparkle of her eye. She leaves behind many beautiful memories and lived and loved life to the fullest. She will be deeply missed.

Dottie A. Schoene is survived by her husband, Douglass E. Schoene of Spokane Wash.; daughters, Sierra A. Schoene of Spokane, Wash., Nicolette C. Barcia of Kellogg, Idaho, and Brooke Voorhies of Post Falls, Idaho. Dottie is also survived by her nieces, Amy Connors, Kathrin Swoboda, and Ashley Blackwell-Farley; grandson, Carter Voorhies and granddaughters, Lynnette Thompson, Cadence Voorhies, and Vida Ortiz.

Dottie is preceded in death by her parents, M. Dwane Reiss and Dorothy A. Reiss; grandparents, Gordan and Mable Adams; and her aunts, Elizabeth Doss and M.E Link.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m., on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, 373 East Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho.
