There is little doubt that the competitors at the Hot August Showdown at the Cabinet Mountain Speedway had a great time with a full weekend of qualifying and racing finals.
The Kootenai RC Racers welcomed champion RC racing power duo Adam and Ronda Drake for the 10th annual event.
Founded in 2013, the Kootenai RC Racers are northwest Montana's oldest, continuously running RC racing club.
The Hot August Showdown continues to be one of the longest-running RC dirt track races in Montana.
Moving to its new home at Cabinet Mountain RC Raceway in 2020, the event continues to draw in racers from across the U.S.
“Partnering with Lincoln County and the Port Authority to get this track built has been great. They’re awesome,” said Rhonda Miller, race director.
